At 9.43am on Friday Gosport Lifeboat was tasked to asisst a 31ft sailing vessel with a broken rudder off Ryde. The crew rigged a tow and the vessel was taken to Gosport Marina where they were met by Hill Head Coastguard Rescue Team.
Just as the Lifeboat was leaving the Marina they were re tasked to the other side of the harbour to assist with a welfare incident. The crew were stood down just after 12pm, returning to the station and rehousing the Lifeboat at 1pm.
